Piccadilly in London it runs from Hyde park corner in the west to Piccadilly Circus in the east and has St. James and Green park to the south.
This is the widest and straightest street in center London and home to some iconic building such as FORTUM & MASSON and THE RITZ.
But i am actually nipping on the right side to the BURLINGTON ARCADE,probably the epitome of luxury.
Jewels and watch makers, leather specialist, high end clothes stores and parfumeries.
What exactly i am looking for?
Penhaligon’s is an english perfume house. It was founded in the late 1860s by William Henry Penhaligon, a Cornish barber who moved to London and who became Court Barber and Perfumer to Queen Victoria.
This company dates back over 135 years and apparently
has a fun way of matching you to the perfect scent.
Now it´s a global brand with stores world wide and a few famous customers such as The Duke of Edinburgh and The Prince of Wales.
Well i have to say it smells delicious inside. They have a wide range from very old to very new and they first fragrance was created in 1872, they still use the old recipe in fact they still sell the Penhaligon´s first fragrance.
The most popular fragrance is ARTEMISIA, the most fun is the one with the gin and tonic fizz.
Fragrance is liquid emotion. It unlocks memories and opens doors; it can stop us in our tracks, lost somewhere for a moment in time.
Penhaligon’s has decide to tease and tantalize us with a brand new gourmand fragrance that is inspired by the English tradition of afternoon tea. The fragrance will also draw inspiration from transitions, specifically the time of the day when day turns into evening and the thaw when cold winter finally gives way for spring.
Created by Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp, the fragrance is called Equinox Bloom and will feature an olfactory palette inspired by the sweet treats of high tea and the freshness of spring flowers. Expect notes of Chantilly, Frangipani and Brown Sugar blended with violet leaves, orange blossom absolute and jasmine sambac, with Benzoin Siam and Ambrox.
WHAT INSPIRED HIM TO CREATE THIS FRAGRANCE:
“During one of my recent visits to London, I enjoyed an incredible brunch in a smart, refined place, where the magnificent atmosphere of the rooms, furnished with opulent floral compositions, ensnared my senses almost at once. While admiring the floral scenery, my brunch included delightful toasts topped with honey and marmalade and these gourmand facets inspired me to bring to Equinox Bloom a trendy, modern inflexion to the generous floral bouquet. To me, this luxurious and abundant refinement reflects Penhaligon´s generosity in fragrances in a perfect way,” said, Olivier Cresp.
When in London you gotta visit the store. #penhaligon #london #takemebacktolondon
